Brown Spot On My Back? Never been there before..?

i have a brown spot on my back, looks just like a birthmark, but i have never had it before. my friend noticed it just a few days ago..and idk what it is..it's kinda freaking me out. One person said its a cafe e' lata or something but i swear i have never had it before..it just came...i hope its not skin cancer or something..im gonna get it checked out but for support..does anyone know what it might be..? :(
