Important serious question, Energy Crisis?

The Tesla coil is not by any means an energy source. It can transmit energy in exactly the same way as any radio transmitter. We use electromagnetic waves to distribute energy all the time. It is reasonably efficient over a very short distance, such as a transformer or the inductive coupling of power to charge an electric toothbrush. We already harvest free atmospheric energy with wind turbines.
