What kind of drugs do police officers have experience using?

Police officers wouldn't dare "experiment" with any illegal drugs to find out any effects. Since these drugs are illegal, the officers in effect would be doing something illegal and would be breaking a law they have sworn to uphold. They can do whatever they wish in a movie!
